
Yeganeh Soltani holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and is deeply passionate about community building and mental health advocacy. Their diverse professional background spans psychotherapy, social work, medical healthcare, research, and advocacy. This breadth of experience has strengthened their ability to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively, and manage a wide range of responsibilities with ease. Known for their positive and cheerful demeanor, Yeganeh is committed to creating inclusive and supportive spaces where people can thrive. They bring strong interpersonal and leadership skills to their work and are especially interested in opportunities that advance mental health care and community wellbeing. Yeganeh’s professional collaborations with The Centre for Research and Innovation for Black Survivors of Homicide Victims allows them to bring a systems-level understanding of structural violence to this role, especially when it comes to its immediate impacts on youth in the Black Creek community. Yeganeh strongly believes in the youth-led, art-based, and community-driven approach of the Black Creek Youth Initiative, and feels deeply honoured to be a part of its infrastructure as a Board Member.
